Crista graduated from Northeastern High School in Springfield, Ohio. Crista played basketball and run track. She later studied psychology at Kent State before making a decision to pursue a career in modeling. After she won numerous bikini contests such as the National Bikini Contest in 2000 and the coveted Miss Hawaiian Tropic in 2001, Crista Nicole was selected to be Playboy's nude Playmate of the Month for May 2001.
