According to Nichole Van Croft's Playmate Profile video, Nichole claims to have been quite a tomboy while growing up, often sporting a crewcut until she was around 11 or 12 years old. Throughout high school, Nichole played varsity basketball and volleyball. SNichole even broke her collarbone while playing football.
While eating pizza with plenty of her girlfriends after a night spent out at the club, Nichole was approached by a Playboy photographer who gave Nichole his business card. The next day Nichole called Playboy, made an appointment for a test photo shoot and a week later she was selected to become a Playmate.
In an appearance on the infamous Howard Stern Show in 2001, Van Croft claimed that very soon after becoming a Playmate, Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner asked her to move into his mansion bedroom. Nichole claims that when she refused, Hef cut her off from his personal life and most magazine functions.
