Stephanie has worked with numerous well-known photographers, including Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts, and Gilles Bensimon. Stephanie posed nude in Playboy magazine's March 1991 and February 1993 issues.
Stephanie started her modeling career while working for local department stores and newspapers in her hometown at the age of 14 years old. A year later, Stephanie won the lucrative Elite Model Management Look of the Year model contest. Standinga tall 5'10", Stephanie is consistently noted for her long, graceful legs in modeling oingerie, swimwear, hosiery, clothing and sleepwear.
Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Stephanie appeared in numerous issues of the coveted Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, including once on the cover of Sports Illustrated. During that same period, Stephanie was a primary hosiery and lingerie model for the relatively new startup Victoria's Secret company in its promising mail-order catalogs and fledgeling retail stores. She and Dutch model Frederique assisted Victoria's Secret steady growth from a new company to one of the world's giants in women's hosiery, lingerie, swimwear, and clothing.
At the age of 15 Stephanie began dating John Casablancas, the head of Elite Model Management, who was married at the time, and by 17 was living with John. At 19, Stephanie broke off the relationship.
From 1989 to 1990 Stephanie was married to lead guitarist Tommy Andrews. The marriage failed, but resulted in the birth of her first son, Dylan Thomas Andrews in 1991.
After that Stephanie became associated with lead singer Axl Rose, the lead of Guns N' Roses. Stephanie appeared in two music videos by Guns N' Roses: "November Rain" and "Don't Cry". The couples tumultuous relationship ended in 1993.
In 1994 Stephanie married the wealthy media mogul Peter Brant. In 1993 Stephanie gave birth to Peter Brant, Jr.; in 1997 to the couples second child Harry Brant; and in 2004 to Stephanie's first daughter, Lilly Margaret Brant.
In 1998 Stephanie's book Stephanie Seymour's Beauty Secrets for Dummies was published and sold well.
In 2000 Stephanie played Helen Frankenthaler in the critically acclaimed movie Pollock and was ranked #91 on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women of 2000.
In 2002 Stephanie played Sara Lindstrom in the "Crazy" episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
In 2006 Stepahnie posed partially nude for Germany's MAX magazine.
It has been noted that Stephanie Seymour has appeared on over 300 magazine covers.
Additionally, Stephanie has four children and recently in 2006 did a photo shoot for Gap with her entire family.
